The Christmas Store is a ministry of Houston's First Baptist Church's Faith Center-Spring Branch. Each year, families from mission churches we support and other organizations are invited to come and "shop" for gifts for their family members. While at The Christmas Store, they also learn about the true gift of Christmas — Jesus Christ.

How it Works

The Christmas Store serves families from mission churches, ministries, and other organizations supported by Houston’s First. These families are invited to “shop” on a designated day in early December set aside for people from their respective groups. While there, they also learn about the true gift of Christmas — Jesus Christ.

This format creates a greater sense of community as families see familiar faces, and enables our volunteers to have more one-on-one time with the people we serve.

Speaking of volunteers, rather than asking the Houston’s First family to sign up to serve on their own, The Christmas Store team will ask people already serving with our guests’ churches, ministries, and organizations to join us in making this annual ministry a reality.

As always, this amazing ministry relies on the Houston’s First family to provide the thousands of gifts needed to fully stock our shelves. So, look over the list and bring a new, unwrapped gift on Collection Day for The Christmas Store!

• Sun, Nov 23 at the foyer in the Downtown Campus (1730 Jefferson St, Houston, TX 77003)
• Gift collection happening from 8a–4p
• Bring new, unwrapped gifts to the Main Foyer
• Put a label on the gift to indicate the appropriate age group and gender

Your Life Bible Study

Life Bible Studies at The Downtown Campus are assigned a particular age group and gender to ensure that there are enough new, unwrapped gifts to cover everybody. Please view the LBS assignments below! If you are not in a Life Bible Study—or if you are and you want to give more—you are welcome to bring a new, unwrapped gift for any age group and gender!
